Weekend Recap: Potomac Point Winery – Weddings Uncorked 2016
To say things have been a bit hectic these last few days would be an understatement, but I’ll admit it was all self-inflicted. Yesterday I spent 4 enjoyable hours meeting with couples and their families at Potomac Point Winery – a favorite venue of mine!
The weather was a bit gloomy for this year’s showcase, but I had a great time chatting with so many nice people! I love getting feedback for my work, and hearing questions from the very newly-engaged looking to start with stationery.
The one thing I always try and stress to potential clients as well as people not interested in working with me is to stay true to your own wants! Don’t spend money on things that aren’t going to make your wedding day more special to you and your closest people, full stop. I am not the kind of vendor who wants to work with as many people as possible – I want to work with people who love stationery and design!
I also debuted this venue portrait of Potomac Point! Slowly but surely I’ll be adding to my catalog of DC area venues, so look for more fun surprises on that note in the coming weeks.
Last I was happy to give away thank you notes at the showcase again this year – this time a lush watercolor floral design that will be making it’s way to the Etsy shop soon! Cheers to two years of the lucky winner whooping with delight as her name was announced as the winner.
After 4 hours of being on my feet and talking about myself though, this introvert was so happy to curl up at home with a glass of wine and my two favorite people (diaper blowout not included.) !
Happy Monday friends! Cheers to getting back on track this week 🙂
